Lake Vermilion is more than 40 miles long, has 365 Islands, and
approximately 300 miles of shoreline. With its picturesque bays,
peninsulas and islands the lake offers endless areas to explore.

Lake Vermilion also provides access to the Boundary Waters Canoe
Area Wilderness through a portage at Trout Lake. Trout Lake has a depth
of 100 feet of clear, spring water and 20 sq. miles abounding with
trout and walleyes.
